What are the tips for healthy weight loss?
Over the past few years, I gained weight from stress and work dinners. I couldn’t go for a walk for a long time because my ankles were hurting to my sudden weight gain, and my daily life became very dull. First of all, due to the sudden weight gain, I lost confidence in my looks, and I started becoming withdrawn and depressed. I thought to myself. ” I shouldn’t be this way!” So followings are my tips that I am practicing at the moment to manage my weight.
1. Setting up healthy routines to incorporate exercise into everyday life!
I started making effort to create daily plans for myself and live according to them, just like I did back in high school. In addition, I always did cardiovascular exercise such as taking a walk for 30 minutes to 1 hour a day or playing badminton during the day, and I also enjoyed climbing mountains on weekends. While doing some work out from time to time, I changed my habit to stay active more in my daily life. A tiny little change of habit of taking a walk for a short haul instead of taking a car or using stairs instead of an elevator helped me a lot.
2. Having a moderate amount of healthy food-Body Detox
Another cause of weight gain is the overconsumption of junk food, including instant foods. Because I enjoyed eating so much, I used to have three meals and snacks such as hamburgers and ramen in-between the meals. After making up my mind to lose weight, I cut down my consumption of ramen and hamburgers down to once or twice a week and tried to eat homemade food if possible. While cooking food, I already started feeling full. So when I tried to eat, I couldn’t eat much. In addition, I have always tried to love healthy foods such as salads and yogurt, and I have used olive oil and avocado oil a lot.
3. Meditating to keep a clear and positive mind-Mind Detox
Every evening, through meditation, I discard the stress, negative thoughts, and minds I encounter in my daily life. Before meditation, when I got angry in my everyday life, I tried to run away from those feelings by eating chocolate inside my drawer. However, now I can maintain a clear and positive mind by throwing away negative thoughts through meditation. Since I became energized in everyday life with this new and fresh mind, I have created a virtuous cycle to become more diligent and lead a regular life.
